Autograph Alley meticulously examines the ink, autograph structure and also compares with other authenticated signatures. Once a signature is confirmed as authentic, we send you a tamper-evident, hologram label bearing the AA Certification number. This label can only be applied once, and while it can be removed, it will leave behind fragments, preventing it from being reused on another item.

Also included is a certification hard copy that includes the same alphanumeric certification number. The certified autograph can be easily verified by entering the 6-digit number certification found on the item with the hologram label or by using the same 6-digit number on the hard copy certificate.

Note: While verification of certification numbers in our AA Certification database is an important step, it does not completely eliminate risk. In rare cases, criminals may attempt to counterfeit AA grading inserts using legitimate certification numbers obtained from public sources. Autograph Alley strongly recommends purchasing our certified collectibles exclusively from either us or trusted and reputable sources.

AA provides access to its database solely for the purpose of confirming information related to items with specific certification numbers. AA does not inspectauthenticated items physically in most cases, mainly using detailed photos and finding the story behind the item.​​​​​
